Guest Lecture on Job Opportunities in HR Sector

Introduction:

HR specialists are responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing & placing right workers at right place. They may also handle employee relations, payroll, benefits & training. HR managers plan, direct and coordinate the administrative functions of an organisation.
HR is one of the most important segment of an organisation, therefore in order to make students aware about the various field of working & job opportunities in HR sector, we have organised one guest lecture on same topic on 3rd April 2018 conducted by Ms. Neeta Khamkar.

Guest Speaker:

Ms. Neeta Khamkar is a professional lecturer at Gogate Jogalekar college, Ratnagiri. She is dealing with subjects of Human Resource Management. She has completed MMS from Mumbai University in in 2013 with Ist grade.

About Session:

At the start of session, Ms. Neeta Khamkar mam have explained the importance of HR department in any organisation. Almost all organisations whether they are small or big everyone is having their individual HR department.

After this she has covered following points:

• Introduction of HRM
• Career in HR sector
• Functions of HRM
• Activity Based Learning

At last, Ms. Neeta Khamkar mam has taken one activity of blocks building in which students were jumbled into several groups and each group has prepared good blocks.

Guest Lecture on Live Stock Updates

Introduction:

A stock market is basically a collection of buyers & sellers of stocks. These stocks represents the ownership interests in companies. These may include public or private sector securities. Here stock brokers & traders can buy and sell shares of stock, bonds and other securities. Many large companies have their stocks listed on a stock exchange, which makes the stock more liquid and hence more attractive to many investors. 

Stock market is constantly changing with activities of the thousands of investors. So the important indications can be acquired only through the study and analysis of stock movements. So for our students to get knowledge of how the stock market gets analysed we have organised an guest lecture on 6th April 2018 by Mr. Nithilesh Pawaskar.

Guest Speaker:

Mr. Nithilesh Pawaskar is an professional investment guide. He is also a teacher at coaching institute dealing with subjects of finance, insurance & banking. He has excellent knowledge of share market.

About Session:

Mr. Nithilesh Pawaskar has covered following points during his session:

• Introduction to Share Market
• Career in Share Market.
• Introduction to Live Stock Market.
• Analysis of Live Market
• How to generate money.
• How and where to invest.

He also explained many exclusive examples and challenges in the corporate at large with reference to different mythologies. Even he had discussed career opportunities in share market sector.

As per the students feedback, overall performance was good in structure of course content and study material.

Guest Lecture on Opportunities in Insurance Sector

Introduction:

Insurance in India refers to the market for insurance in India which covers both public & private sector organizations. It can only be legislated by the central government. 

Insurance sector is composed of companies that offer risk management in the form of insurance contracts. One party i.e. the insurer guarantees payment for an uncertain future event. Whereas another party i.e. the insured or policy holder pays a smaller premium to the insurer in exchange for that uncertain future protection.

Insurance is one of the most growing sector in India, so lot number of job opportunities are available their in this sector. To make our students aware about various job profiles in this Insurance Sector, we have organized this guest lecture on 11th April 2018.

Guest Speaker:

Mr. Devendra Mane is a X-vice president of Channel Development & Quality Assurance. Now he is running his own business in insurance field. Beside all this he is also a good runner, excellent pacer and a running coach as well. He has achieved many world record at this young age.

About Session:

Mr. Devendra Mane explained the importance of financial planning and how buying an insurance policy will provide financial assistance & security to the policy holder. He also explained various sectors available in Insurance industry, and what job profiles are required at each of these sector.

He specifies that being a life insurance agent is a part time as well as full time job. Therefore even students can become agents and get the benefit of earning while learning.

He listed and elaborated various companies working in this insurance sector. He also explained the different types of insurance like life insurance, general insurance, etc. He again explained the difference between public & private sector insurances.

At the end students were asked for questions they are having in there mind, and at the same time he answered to their questions.
